SENATE BILL NO. 88 "An Act relating to the Public Employees'                                                                    
Retirement System of Alaska and the teachers' retirement system;                                                                
providing certain employees an opportunity to choose between the                                                                
defined benefit and defined contribution plans of the Public                                                                    
Employees' Retirement System of Alaska and the teachers' retirement                                                             
system; and providing for an effective date" was read the second time.                                                          
                                                                                                                                
Senator Olson, Cochair, moved and asked unanimous consent for the                                                               
adoption of the Finance Committee Substitute offered today. Without                                                             
objection, CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 88(FIN) was adopted.                                                                          
                                                                                                                                
President Stevens stated CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 88(FIN) will                                                                    
advance to third reading on the January 29 calendar.
